While some stars opted for simple, pretty dresses at last night’s Video Music Awards, many others kept the tradition of shocking style moments alive. Nicki Minaj rocked out in tons of brightly colored spandex, Ke$ha sourced her dress material (garbage bags) from Home Depot, Lady Gaga’s final outfit (which she donned to accept Video of the Year) was a dress made of meat(!) courtesy of designer Franc Fernandez, Cher channeled her “Turn Back Time” days in a sheer body stocking and Rihanna sported a fiery bob complete with headdress while performing on-stage with Eminem. At Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, she switched her nails three times during the ceremony and once for the after-party, which kept her manicurist Kimmie Kyees working overtime. “Katy’s stylist sent me photos of the outfits she was planning to wear, and I started brainstorming ideas right away,” Kyees told InStyle.com exclusively. “I was so inspired by her dresses!”.
